We went apple picking this weekend. (As all families in this area do in the fall.)
$17 worth of apples later, we headed home.
Since my kids don’t like pie (weirdos), I wanted to make something else apple-inspired that they would be sure to love.
I came across this recipe for Apple Pie Cheddar Biscuits on Yummy Mummy Club by Paula Roy and pretty much started drooling immediately. The only changes I made were to sub whole wheat flour for white flour. The rest couldn’t be messed with.
It does call for a very small amount of sugar and half a cup of butter. But it’s still a nutritious, healthy recipe using whole foods that my kids will love having for breakfast or snacks. (I’ll likely be popping them in their lunches too).
So. Good.
